Question: Who are you?
Answer: In short: a conformity assessment body, or in everyday terms a certification body. Founded in 2018 as ESecurity-CERT GmbH, we have been trading as RSM Certification GmbH since April 2024.

Question: Meaning?
Answer: In our case, conformity assessments are examinations (so-called audits) in which our clients' processes/procedures, services and/or systems are audited to determine whether they meet the requirements of relevant national/international laws (e.g. Section 8a KRITIS), norms/standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001) or other specifications – and thus whether they are compliant.

Question: OK, but anyone can do that. Right?
Answer: To demonstrate that we have the processes and the competence to carry out such audits, we have been accredited by the German Accreditation Body (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH, DAkkS) since 2020. This began with ISO/IEC 27001 and has already been extended to include the IT Security Catalogue pursuant to Section 11 (1a) EnWG (2022) and ISO 9001 (2024). Our focus remains the field of information security, but we are continually working to expand our product portfolio, particularly against the backdrop of integrated management systems.

Question: Why should I have these conformity assessments carried out by RSM Certification GmbH?
Answer: Our goal is to actively make a significant contribution to improving security – with a focus on information security – and to create genuine awareness. We do this through high-quality audits and certifications delivered as equals: authentic, first-class and seamless.

We strive to be "closer to you". This means we see our work as a collaboration with you. In keeping with our understanding of such a collaboration, we are of course independent and proceed in a focused, committed manner in accordance with the requirements of the standards – yet do so in a trusting, pragmatic and solution-oriented way.

We follow this credo – and it applies not only to our internal staff but equally to the external auditors and subject-matter experts we appoint.
